One of a kind pieces of art

The client had searched for many years for the emerald she wanted, we’ve known each other for quite a while. once she found it I was tasked with making the setting.

Also with the issue of easily chipping I decided to use 18krt gold for the bezel as it moves easier over the gem.

The customer supplied the emerald and the setting was created in 18krt yellow gold and 14 krt white gold.

Most Goldsmiths will inform the client that emeralds aren’t really suited for rings as they chip easily. We decided that the bezel setting would help protect the gem.
